Armitage Church is an inner-city multi-ethnic congregation nationally known for its aggressive efforts to deal with contemporary issues and urban needs. Reports about Armitage Church and its ministries have been covered nationally by Harry Smith of CBS This Morning , John Leo of US News and World Report , Charles Osgoode of CBS Radio Network and locally by every major network and newspaper. There are over forty different nationalities represented in the church, and the 8 weekly services have a constituency of over 4,500 worshipers. People from the ghetto to the Gold Coast come to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached. The hip, the square, the straight, the down and out, people with AIDS, believers, and skeptics alike fill the auditorium every week. Today, our desire is to start 50 new multi-ethnic congregations in Chicago and additional congregations in cities around the world. Through our internship program we prepare men and women to minister in an urban environment. We are partnering, through our missions program, with over 25 church planting pastors and missionaries in five continents. Are you tired of church as usual? Then we invite you to get in on what God is doing at Chicago's Armitage Church!
