"In 1982 I was saved right here at Armitage Baptist Church. God saved me from 18 years of alcoholism and drug abuse, living the party life on the west side of Chicago . It had been a life of emptiness and loneliness, though I was surrounded by many friends and had quite a few boyfriends. I was introduced to Jesus December 31, 1982 and I finally found what I yearned for and more…
God put a burning desire in me that night to go and tell others what had happened to me. It was truly like fire burning up in me—I had to go tell it—I had to let it out. A.R.M.S. (Armitage Reaching Many Souls) ministry started 3 days later. I started telling it (the good news— JESUS SAVES). I started holding Bible studies 8 months later for all who would come - men, women, boys and girls. We reached literally thousands with the GOOD NEWS since then.
I am presently teaching 3 weekly Bible studies at home and conducting a monthly ladies' prayer group—the Encouragers. I have worn many hats over the years and currently hold the positions of Staff Evangelist and Director of the Good News for Women Bible Study at Armitage Baptist Church .
Churches all over the United States have heard about God's work through A.R.M.S. ministry. We've started ministries in other cities. Thousands of people have been saved through our evangelistic efforts over the years. We are blessed to be able to keep in touch with some of them as they grow in the Lord. Praise Him!
My goal is to reach the ghetto with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
May God richly bless you."
